PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine capable of sterilizing the inside of a water tank and a drum, sterilizing germs attached to clothing or circulating air to keep the clothing clean. SOLUTION: This washing and drying machine is provided with the water tank, the drum rotatably disposed in the water tank, and a warm air supply means to supply warm air to dry the washing contained in the drum. In this washing and drying machine, a tank cleaning process to clean the water tank or the drum, and a tank drying process to dry the water tank or the drum are provided. The tank cleaning process and the tank drying process are solely or continuously conducted.
