PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of audible sound wave at the generation of a shock wave. SOLUTION: This shock wave source is provided with a coil support bodies 2, 21-26, a coil 3 and a film 4 for generating the shock wave, insulated and separated from the coil 3. The coil support body 23 has a side face, a first jacket face on the coil 3 side, and a second jacket face 40 on the opposite side to the coil 3. The second jacket face 40 is formed in non-flat shape.
