POLLUTED WATER CLEANING METHOD AND CLEANING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polluted water cleaning method capable of efficiently generating active radicals such as hydroxy free radicals or the like from ozone dissolved in polluted water to accelerate the decomposition of a pollutant while reducing the amount of ozone left in a water phase, and a cleaning apparatus used therein. SOLUTION: The cleaning apparatus is equipped with a gas-liquid mixing device 6 for mixing ozone gas with polluted water, an ultraviolet irradiation device 7 for irradiating polluted water mixed with the ozone gas with ultraviolet rays to decompose the pollutant, a hydrogen peroxide adding device 8 for adding hydrogen peroxide to the polluted water irradiated with ultraviolet rays to further decompose the pollutant, an aeration treatment device 10 for treated water passed through those devices and an activated carbon treatment device for the gas separated from the air-liquid mixture.
