PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for agitation and an agitating apparatus which can agitate more strongly a powder and granular material filled in container and in which the upper part of the container constituting the container for agitation is not required to be opened and an agitation blade can easily be cleaned. SOLUTION: The lid body 3 of the container 1 for agitation closes an aperture formed on the container 2, and is provided with a lid body 5 freely attachable to and detachable from the container 2, agitation blades 8 provided at the undersurface side of the lid body 5, a turning shaft 7 whose lower end side is fixed to the agitation blade 8, and the upper end side is located above the lid body 5, and one connecting member 9 which is fixed to the upper end of the turning shaft 7 and is connected to a driving shaft 39a to drive the turning shaft 7. The agitating apparatus 11 is provided with an elevating device which moves up and down the container 1 for agitation or moves up and down a drive unit so as to connect the other connecting member 40 to the one connecting member 9.
