PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the space of a building independent of the installation site, area and shape of the building. SOLUTION: The biotope unit is provided with a plurality of top-opened container vessels 1,2 placed adjacent to each other, a covering mat 4 for covering the wall of the vessel and planting grounds 6-8 placed in the container vessel. The edge of the covering mat 4 is extended to the inside of the container vessel or brought into contact with the ground outside of the vessel. A connection member 3a is placed on the walls to connect the walls of the adjacent container vessels.
