PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the permeation of water, while maintaining good air ventilation in the space for storing an inverter in order to prevent performance deterioration caused by the rise in the ambient temperature of the inverter and the occurrence of failures caused by the permeation of water in a hybrid electric vehicle. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an engine 2, a generator 3 driven by the engine 2, a battery 4, and electric motors 5, 6 powered by the generator 3 and the battery 3 and driven via an inverter 7, for driving an electric vehicle. A fan 20 is provided on a car body panel for taking in the outside air. All inside surfaces, including the ones facing the fan 20 of a space 11 for storing the inverter 7 are surrounded by partitions. Then, ventilation holes 21, 25 are formed on the partition 19 facing the fan 20 and at least another partition except the partition 19. A louver 21a is provided on the ventilation hole 21 on the partition 19 facing the fan 20 to shield its front with subdividing plates arranged in downward inclination to the side of the vehicle body panel 8. |
