PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an observation optical system guiding the original picture of an LCD or the like to the eyeballs of an observer compact and thin. SOLUTION: This observation device is provided with a display means 4 for forming the original picture, a first surface 5 transmitting the light of the original picture, a second surface 1 being the curved surface totally reflecting the light transmitted through the first surface 5 and a third surface 3 reflecting the light totally reflected on the second surface 1. Besides, it is provided with the observation optical system constituted so that the first or the third surface is formed as the surface in a prism 3a. Then, the light reflected on the third surface 3 is transmitted through the second surface 1 and guided to the eyeballs. |
