METHOD AND AGENT FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING MASTITIS OF MILCH COW USING EXTRACT OF ERIOBOTRYA JAPONICA LEAF

PURPOSE: Provided are a method and an agent for preventing and treating the mastitis of the milch cow using, as an active ingredient, an extract of Eriobotrya japonica leaves harmless to animals, human beings as well as environment, thereby safely preventing and treating the disease without using any antibiotics. CONSTITUTION: An agent for preventing and treating the mastitis of the milch cow contains an extract of Eriobotrya japonica leaves as an active ingredient and formulated into a liquid preparation, a lotion, an ointment or a spray. The extract is obtained by extracting Eriobotrya japonica leaves 2-20 times of 70% ethyl alcohol at ambient temperature for 2-10 days or by boiling them in 2-20 times of water for 0.5-4 hours.
