PURPOSE: A simulation apparatus is provided to develop vehicles with superior braking performance and stability by calculating accurate data on the braking performance. CONSTITUTION: A simulation apparatus comprises a wheel speed sensor(11) for detecting whether a vehicle is in travel; a brake pedal sensor(12) for detecting whether a brake pedal(1) is in operation; a pressure sensor(13) for detecting the braking pressure supplied from a brake pipe(5) when braking force is applied to the vehicle in operation; an electronic control unit(14) for receiving a target braking pressure, a target time taken for reaching the target braking pressure, and a braking pressure maintaining time for maintaining the target braking pressure constant until the braking operation is completed; an auxiliary braking hydraulic pressure generating unit(15) connected to the brake pipe, and which generates auxiliary braking hydraulic pressure by being operates by the control of the electronic control unit; the first pressure control valve(16) having an open path controlled by the electronic control unit in such a manner that the braking hydraulic pressure generated by the operation of the brake pedal or the auxiliary braking hydraulic pressure generated by the operation of the auxiliary braking hydraulic pressure generating unit is selectively supplied to a brake body(4); and plural second pressure control valves(17) mounted on the brake pipes connected to the brake body of the front wheel and the brake body of the rear wheel, and which are selectively open/closed by the control of the electronic control unit.
