METHOD FOR REPRODUCING DIGITAL BROADCASTING PROGRAM AT LOW SPEED

PURPOSE: A method for reproducing a digital broadcasting program at a low speed is provided to output a slow motion picture through a connection device such as a television set. CONSTITUTION: B-picture is removed from a transport stream of a digital broadcasting program. An empty picture is inserted between pictures of the transport stream by the number of times corresponding to a requested low reproduction speed. The reconstructed transport stream is reproduced. The number of times of inserting the empty picture is determined in inverse proportion to the low reproduction speed. The number of the empty pictures corresponds to an odd number. The empty picture is I-picture, P-picture or interpolated picture.
