PURPOSE: A method for dehumidification of an air-conditioning system is provided to control indoor humidity and to reduce cost. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: a first step(S1) setting reservation for absence so that dehumidifying function of an air conditioner is turned on/off by reference time unit; a second step(S5) in which the air conditioner works based on reservation for absence; a third step(S6) counting working time of the air conditioner; and a fourth step(S7,S8,S9,S10) turning on/off a fan and a compressor of the air conditioner, resetting the working time, and returning to the third step if the counted working time is same with a reference time. The air conditioning system comprises the air conditioner installed in a room for air-conditioning; a key input part for setting reservation for absence so that dehumidifying performance of the air conditioner is turned on/off at reference time intervals; a counter counting working time of the air conditioner since the reservation for absence is set through the key input part; and a microcomputer part transmitting control signal to a switch turning on/off the fan and the compressor of the air conditioner when working time counted by the counter is same with the reference time. |
