PURPOSE: A sealing material that is interposed between lower nozzle(2) and submerged entry nozzle(5) for continuous casting is provided to prevent puncture during hot continuous casting process and air entrapment into molten steel. CONSTITUTION: The sealing material is characterized in that it is covered by a ceramic insulator with greater insulation capability than the sealing material at both upper and lower sides, wherein the ceramic insulator comprises SiO2 44 to 58 wt.%, Al2O3 42 to 55 wt.%, Fe2O3 0.5 wt.% or more, CaO 0,1 wt.% or more and incidental impurities.
