PURPOSE: A system and a method for a delivery service using the mobile communication network are provided to receive an article besides the business time of the receiver by keeping the article in an article keeping box set by the receiver and informing the receiver of the keeping state of the article through the mobile communication network. CONSTITUTION: A receiver terminal(100) provides the receiver information to a delivery server(180) by connecting to the delivery server(180) through the mobile communication network(120) and the Internet(160). The delivery server(180) receives a delivery place and a telephone number of the receiver set by a sender through offline input, informs the information the receiver terminal(100) of the information, and receives and stores the correction of the information from the receiver terminal(100). A keeping box terminal(140) is installed to control a lock of the article keeping box placed in a public place, controls a closing operation with the telephone number of the receiver terminal(100), and provides the delivery information including a password generated by the closing of the keeping box to the receiver terminal(100).
