PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the seamless playback while always keeping the optimum adjusting condition in an optical disk player by deciding the adjustment timing and also deciding the information amount to be stored. SOLUTION: This player is provided with an optical disk whereon the picture and voice of plurality of series are recorded as an interleave unit and continuously played back without sound interruption, a disk reading means, an information storage means for storing the information read out from the optical disk, a servo means for controlling the rotation of the optical disk, the focusing and tracking operation, a servo adjusting means for adjusting the servo performance of the servo means, a reproducing time detecting means for calculating the time to reproduce the all information of the information storage means, and a servo starting adjustment means for controlling the servo adjusting operation. Thus, even though the servo adjustment is performed in the process of reproduction, the reproduction of the data in the information storage means is completed for all, then the playback of picture and voice is attained without interruption, and also the period of the servo adjustment is shortened.
