PURPOSE: A method for improving low temperature reduction strength of sinter that is a raw material of blast furnace by coating additive on the sinter is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of preparing a lithium nitrate aqueous solution by dissolving powder phase lithium nitrate (LiNO3) into water; manufacturing sinter into surface and pores of which arbitrary weight of lithium nitrate is adhered or absorbed by dipping sinter into the lithium nitrate aqueous solution; removing moisture inside grains of sinter by drying the sinter into which the lithium nitrate solution is adhered or absorbed; and checking the amount of pure lithium nitrate adhered to or absorbed into the sinter, wherein the lithium nitrate is adhered to or absorbed into the sinter in the amount of 1.4 wt.% or more of the weight of sinter.
