PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal having a mobile type storing function and a method for controlling the same are provided to upload a file stored at a flash memory of the mobile communication terminal to a PC, thereby reducing the cost for buying a mobile type storage device. CONSTITUTION: A transceiving part(100) transceives a data file with a PC through a serial communication. A control part(200) controls storing the data file of the PC input through the transceiving part(100) at a flash memory(300) or to transmit the data file stored at the flash memory(300) to the PC through the transceiving part(100). A display part(400) displays information of the data file stored at the flash memory(300). A key input part(500) generates a key input signal for retrieving or deleting the data file stored at the flash memory(300).
