PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot display system, a spot information generating device and a portable receiver with which the position of a specific spot such as a spot where a cornice is formed. SOLUTION: By using a picture of a prescribed area picked up by an observation satellite O, three-dimensional information consisting of horizontal components and vertical components of a position on the surface is generated. The spot information generating device 4, by calculating the difference of vertical components between the three dimensional information of no snow coverage season and the three dimensional information of snow coverage season, extracts a specific spot at which the difference is large due to the formation of a cornice by the snow in the snow coverage season and generates spot information in which the position of the specific spot is related with the map information of the area. The information disclosing device 3 discloses the spot information via a communication network N, and the spot information is downloaded to a terminal device 2 and transferred to the portable receiver 1. The portable receiver 1, which is a GPS receiver terminal and carried by a climber, displays the position of the specific spot indicated by the spot information and the position of its own on the map of the area. |
