PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture processing apparatus which performs a high-speed and accurate color-correction and color-conversion. SOLUTION: The picture processing apparatus 11 has a data reserving portion 1B for reserving as intermediate data the depictive data to be depicted in response to a plurality of graphic data; an edge generating means included in a rendering portion 1C and for so deriving each graphic data from the reserved intermediate data as to acquire every graphic data its edges, each of which has the width equal to the one of a predetermined scanning line; a graphic-overlap excluding processing means included in the rendering portion 1C and for excluding the overlaps of the edges present among the respective generated graphic data; a sort-processing means included in the rendering portion 1C and for performing a sort-processing to the edge string from which the overlaps of the edges have been excluded; the rendering portion 1C; and a color correcting and color converting portion 1I for performing a color- correction and color-conversion to the depictive color of each edge of the edge string subjected to the sort-processing.
