PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a protecting circuit of a switching amplifier device to be automatically reset. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a switching means 15 which can obtains a pulse signal for speaker driving according to an inputted audio waveform, a protecting means 15a which stops the switching operation of the switching means 15 when abnormality of the input or output of the switching means 15 is detected, detecting means 21 and 22 which detect the protecting means 15a stopping the switching operation, and a control means 20 which resets the protecting operation by the protecting means 15a and restarts outputting a pulse signal by the switching means 15 when the detecting means 21 and 22 detect the switching operation being stopped.
