PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clearance connector for electromagnetic wave shielding body which can damp leak electromagnetic wave when permitting a clearance between electromagnetic shielding bodies, and a method for shielding electromagnetic wave using the clearance connector. SOLUTION: In this clearance connector 1, one or a plurality of terminal short-circuit distributed constant lines 1a and 1b are formed by folding a conductor plate, and the length L of the terminal short-circuit distributed constant lines 1a and 1b is set to about a quarter or odd multiple the wavelength of an electromagnetic wave to be shielded. The clearance connector 1 is inserted between electromagnetic shielding bodies 10 and 20 for actual usage.
