PURPOSE: A system for removing a noise of a telephone headset and a method for controlling the same are provided to actively remove low and high frequency signals abandoned in a sound space of a telephone handset, thereby improving a noise removing characteristic of the telephone handset. CONSTITUTION: A microphone(5) is installed at a sound space(4) formed between a transmitting/receiving unit(1) of a handset and a housing(2) for detecting a voice signal existing in the sound space(4). An amplifying part(6) amplifies the voice signal into a signal of a certain level. A low pass filter(7) filters the voice signal amplified by the amplifying part(6). A noise removal control part(8) inverses a phase of the amplified voice signal at 180 deg. A speaker(9) is installed in the sound space(4), and emits the voice signal of which the phase is inverted, to the sound space(4).
