The container (1), e.g. of 20-liter capacity and designed for stacking, is made from a plastic material by extrusion-blowing. It has side (2, 3), bottom (4) and top (5) walls, a handle (22) and an opening (21). At least to opposite side walls (2) have reinforcing zones (14, 16) that project outwards above and below their central zones (10), extending as far as the top and bottom walls.
