PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can detect a sign of a fault in a stage before the fault actually takes place to disable the image forming operation. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a parameter revision means (S1) that revises an image forming parameter according to a correction instruction via an operation section, an extract means (S4) that extracts a feature of input image data so as to classify the input image data into a plurality of image types, a storage means (S6) that sequentially stores the feature of the input image data being a correction object and contents of the correction instruction in cross-reference with each other and a decision means (S8) that decides a degree of deterioration in an image forming element on the basis of a relation between the correction instruction this time and the feature of the input image data and history information stored by the storage means up to a previous revision. |
