PURPOSE: A sludge drier is provided, which uses a shaftless spiral screw to greatly reduce sludge adhesion to the screw thus increasing sludge transferring rate, smoothing sludge agitation during movement, so that the drier can be made by a small size. CONSTITUTION: The sludge drier comprises a horizontal cylindrical drying chamber(10), at one top end of which a sludge feeding hopper(12) is installed and at the inner bottom of which supporting stands are installed in longitudinal direction; a heating device(20) installed around the drying chamber(10); driving device(42,40) connected to a screw shaft(30) at one side opening of the drying chamber(10); a shaftless spiral screw(30) removably installed in the driving device(42,40) to rest on the supporting stands to form the shaftless spiral screw(30).
