CONTENTS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND DISTRIBUTION METHOD, AND ITS COMPUTER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents distribution system and method that distributes contents at a different service level in response to a request of a user and warrants the service level. SOLUTION: The contents distribution system comprises: a contents server 2-1 connected to the Internet 10 and distributing contents; a layer switch 3 provided between an access point 11 of the Internet 10 and a user terminal 1-1; a mirror server 4 that once stores contents distributed by the contents server 2-1; a plurality of streaming servers 5-1, 5-2 that transmit the contents extracted from the mirror server 4 to the user terminal 1-1 and whose data transfer rates are respectively different; and a user management server 6 provided with user and contents information that distributes contents on request to the user terminal 1-1 from the contents server 2-1 or the mirror server 4 via the layer switch 3 upon the receipt of a request of contents distribution from the user terminal 1-1 via the layer switch 3.
