PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of troublesome operations such as checking the instruction manual or making a phone call to a service center on the occurrence of a fault in an apparatus. SOLUTION: On the occurrence of a fault in the apparatus 13 used by a user, a control means 19 in the apparatus transmits information including contents of the faulty apparatus to a server 17 through a wireless communication terminal 10 such as a mobile phone connected to an interface 12 of the apparatus in response to an operation of a rescue button 14 on the apparatus by the user. The server searches data of how to cope with the received fault contents of the apparatus from a database 20 and returns the searched data to the user side wireless communication terminal 10 by means of an electronic mail form or the like. The user copes with the faulty apparatus by referencing the returned coping method data to recover the apparatus to a normal state.
