SOLUTION: An editing device includes a characteristic point detecting part S81 detecting the position of a characteristic point for specifying the subject to be operated, a characteristic point projecting part S83 for projecting into the display area the characteristic point located outside of the display area, and a characteristic point display part S84 for displaying the characteristic point at the projected position. Thus, even if the subject to be operated exists outside the display area, the user can find the position of the subject.
