PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide satisfactory key operability for all the users having different sizes and forms of fingers and hands by controlling the exposed height of a key from a case. SOLUTION: The portable communication terminal, in which a plurality of keys are packaged on a substrate 25 provided in a case while exposing heads on the surface of the case and the heads of the keys are pressed in the direction of the thickness of the case, is provided with a control mechanism 80 for controlling the exposed height of each of heads by controlling the position of the substrate 25 in the direction of the thickness.
