The procedure consists of sticking the petals or leaves to a thermally adhesive backing layer with a hot smoothing iron, folding the layer in half with the petals/leave on the outside and passing the folded layer between the rollers of a laminating machine to cover them with plastic. The folded layer is then cut along the fold line, and the backing layer is separated from the plastic to leave a coloured imprint on both the plastic and backing layer, both of which can be used for decorative purposes.
