PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for outputting an image of a subject to be pointed whereby an image of an ambience in a pointed direction can be created, regardless of pointed position in indoor space. SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image of a person and its ambience is input in S10 and a composite image is generated in S20. The head and hand areas of the person are extracted in S30 and S40, respectively. In S50, a three- dimensional position about the head area is calculated on the basis of the stereoscopic image and a three-dimensional position about the hand area is also calculated on the basis of the stereoscopic image. In S60, the three-dimensional position about the head area is used as a camera position and the direction in which the three-dimensional position about the hand area is seen is set as the camera direction based on the three-dimensional position about the head area. Further, a perspective projected image containing the subject to be pointed which exists in the camera direction is created based on the stereoscopic image of the ambience for output to the outside. |
