PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a work of inputting a URL consisting of many characters to a remote control when browsing a Web page on a television. SOLUTION: The remote control comprises a uniform resource locater storage means that stores a specified key of the remote control and a uniform resource locater (URL) which identifies the source of information while making them correspond to each other. When the specified key is pressed, the remote control transmits a command for access to a Web site indicated by the URL corresponding to the key, to an instrument to be controlled such as a television, etc.
