PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a payment system for performing merchandise ordering, delivery, payment and inventory management under uniform management. SOLUTION: This payment system is provided with a payment system center. Merchandise information and inventory management information about merchandise sold by a retail shop are registered in the payment system. When a customer designates merchandise whose merchandise information is registered in the payment system center and orders the merchandise, the payment system center manages merchandise ordering, the merchandise delivery to the customer from the retail shop, and the customer's reception of the merchandise. Also, when the customer pays the counter value of the merchandise that the customer is about to purchase or has received, the payment system center manages payment processing performed by a financial institution on the basis of transaction information about the merchandise prepared on the basis of the registered merchandise information and updates the registered inventory management information when the payment processing is completed. |
