<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and unit for image display which can effectively display an image according to the distance between a user and a screen and the characteristics of the image to be displayed. SOLUTION: The distance between the user and screen is measured and the image to be displayed is controlled according to the measured distance. Here, the image is controlled by methods(for enlargement, reduction, nonmagnification, etc.), predetermined for respective image constitution elements. According to the distance between the user and screen, the contents of the image to be displayed are properly changed and adjusted. For example, when characters are displayed, details of a message are changed so that the whole message appears on the screen even when the size of characters is changed.</p> |
