PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce any spatial distortion, without needlessly deteriorating channel separating effects. SOLUTION: When mixing a stereo signal with a monophonic signal, based on the attenuation of a stereo difference signal (Ud (z)) due to at least one attenuation coefficient (Hden ), at least one attenuation coefficient (Hden ) is weighted under the consideration of the amplitude of the stereo difference signal (Ud (z)), and a second attenuation coefficient (Hatt )) for causing the stereo difference signal (Ud (z)) to be attenuated is decided. |
