PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide a signal from a solid state imaging device into M series and transmit them in parallel. SOLUTION: The horizontal imaging region of a solid state imaging device is divided into N regions. N first image signals obtained by a specified signal process at a signal process rate are set to approximately 1/N of a general read rate of all pixels of the device every divided imaging region, and are written on N divided memory areas formed in a memory in the same layout configuration as that of the pixels of the device. At reading from the memory, the memory interior is divided into a central part sending region, and M-1 other peripheral part sending regions than the central region, based on a transmission system number M, thus dividing into M regions. One series of second image signals read out of the central region and M-1 series of second image signals read out of the M-1 peripheral regions are transmitted in parallel.
