PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide data communications apparatus wherein transmitting and receiving data are easily enabled by using small-sized equipment at a low cost, and stable data communication is enabled, without the restriction on the installation position of data transmitting equipment and restriction of distance between data-receiving equipment and the data-transmitting equipment. SOLUTION: The data communications apparatus has data-transmitting equipment 1 and data-receiving equipment 2. The transmitting equipment 1 is provided with two transmitting electrodes 10, 20 coming into contact with a human body, an oscillation part 30 for producing an AC signal, a modulation part 40 for modulating the AC signal on the basis of data to be transmitted, and a voltage- applying part 50 for applying a voltage corresponding a modulation signal modulated by the modulation part 40 across the two electrodes 10, 20. The receiving equipment 2 is provided with a receiving electrode 60, which comes into contact with a human body and receives the modulation signal outputted from the transmitting equipment 1, and a demodulation part 70 for demodulating the modulation signal which is received via the reception electrode 60.
