PURPOSE: A guide lining apparatus is provided to prevent breakage of the neck part and extend life cycle of the liner by selectively contacting the liner with strip. CONSTITUTION: In a guide liner (10) apparatus in which a liner for guiding strip is installed, the guide liner apparatus comprises a lowerable and liftable part comprising a support plate (20) fixed to the lower part of the liner, a support beam (30) fixed to the lower part of both sides of the support plate, a rack shaft (40) fixed to the lower part of the support beam, a block (50) into which the rack shaft is slidingly inserted, a pinion engaged with a rack (42) of the rack shaft through an opening part formed at one side of the block, and a driving motor (70) connected to one side of the pinion to drive the pinion; and a liner damage sensing part comprising a wire (80) installed so that the wire penetrates the inside of the liner perpendicularly to a proceeding direction of the strip, an elastic means connected to one side of the wire to provide the wire with tension, and a sensor for sensing whether the liner is damaged or not by sensing tension applied to the wire.
