PURPOSE: A system and a method for offering lottery service to a credit card user via a mobile phone are provided to offer a lottery ticket to a mobile phone when a user makes a transaction with a credit card, and to enable the user to check a lottery result at a web server. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a transaction data input module(110), a lottery number generator(120), a short message transmitter(130), a web server(140), a lottery winning number determination module(150), and a winning money payment module(160). The transaction data input module(110) receives the transaction data whenever a user uses a credit card. The lottery number generator(120) generates a lottery number if it is confirmed that the transaction data is input. The short message transmitter(130) generates a short message including the generated lottery number, and transmits the short message to a mobile phone of the credit card user via a mobile communication service company by using the mobile phone number included in the transaction data. The web server(140) receives the lottery number and payment data from the credit card user, and outputs a lottery result, processed by the lottery winning number determination module(150), to the credit card user. The winning money payment module(160) gives a winning money to the credit card user by using the payment data offered by the web server(140) if the lottery number is determined to be a winning number in a lottery process.
