PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network print system and an information processing device capable of displaying status information on an operator's computer to thereby enable the operator to confirm simultaneously, when an error is generated by which a printing work can not be continued or when waiting for a very long time is required because the large amount of data are being processed by another operator, and capable of changing an output device to another printer after confirming the information. SOLUTION: A network server connected to a network requests the status information of a designated output device printer. When the printer has the status wherein a print error is generated or printing can not be done in short order, the status is transmitted to a host computer, and it is asked to the operator whether the output device printer is to be changed or not. When the change is selected and a new printer is designated, the network server similarly requests the status information acquisition. |
