PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit capable of accurately detecting whether or not a signal delay state comes in a specified state capable of performing a proper operation. SOLUTION: This semiconductor integrated circuit comprises a serial input/ output means 1 for inputting, therein, specified signals from the outside and transmitting the signals as internal signals, a CPU 3 for processing the internal signals 4 transmitted by the serial input/output means 1, and a timer means 2 for performing a timer function by receiving a count source and performing a count operation according to the internal signals 4. Specified output signals are led to the outside. Time intervals between the internal signals 4 and external output signals 9 are detected by a timer means 2 starting the count operation according to the specified edge of the internal signals 4 and stopping the count operation according to external output monitor signals 9 supplied from an external output terminal 6 through a buffer 8. When the time intervals are larger than specified values, overflow signals 12 are supplied to the CPU 3. |
