PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent extension of a processing period of copy processing itself when the copy processing of data for multiplexing is performed in a storage device under a host, and to suppress reduction of processing performance of a host I/O in progress of the copy processing. SOLUTION: A data processing system realizes the data multiplexing by copying data of a volume 10 of a drive 2b under a storage control part 2a of the storage device 2 connected to an upper device 1 (host) and an upper device 12 into a volume 11 of a drive 2c. A copy data amount (volume) and a copy finishing time are specified from the upper device 12, a copy processing speed required for backup is calculated based on this value, the I/O processing from the upper device 1 in progress of the copy processing is controlled based on a relation with actual copy speed. Thus, the copy is certainly completed within a specific period, and the reduction of the processing performance of the host I/O is suppressed. |
