PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment monitoring method which can reduce a labor of a user for setting the IP address of the transmission destination of TRAP to electronic equipment. SOLUTION: Monitoring object equipment 3a stores a Trap transmission destination table 42 for specifying the transmission destination of an interruption signal (TRAP) to be transmitted when the monitoring object equipment 3a comes into a prescribed state. Computers 2a and 2b automatically write identification data for identifying the computers on a network to the monitoring object equipment 3a as a Trap transmission destination address.
