PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing device and a manufacturing method of a strip electrode capable of accurately keeping an application position of an active material layer at the widthwise center position of metal foil and of accurately keeping the cutting position of the metal foil at the widthwise center position of the metal foil. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of a strip electrode, the strip electrode 11 is manufactured by longitudinally and continuously applying an active material 14 to one widthwise part of a long metal foil 12. In this case, the positions of both widthwise ends 12a and 12b of the metal foil 12 are detected, the widthwise center position of the metal foil 12 is calculated from the detected positions of both ends 12a and 12b, and the widthwise application position of an active material 14 is adjusted based on the calculated widthwise center position of the metal foil 12. |
