PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus capable of removing a hidden surface of an object based rasterized image at low cost. SOLUTION: The method and apparatus 20 for effecting the removal of the hidden surface of the object based rasterized image are disclosed. The apparatus 20 receives pixel edge data 21 for comparison with a pixel position 22 of a rasterized seam line. The result is used to toggle the arrangement of latches 26 as inputs 25 based on the configuration of the decoder 30 of fill level data 24. Only those active levels 25 are output to a priority encoder 28, so that only the level of the highest active state becomes an output 29. |
