PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit/receive contents data with a large data size such as music data or movie data by means of a small data quantity in the case of transmitting/receiving the contents data by using electronic mail. SOLUTION: A section in a sender side transmitter 100 performing mail distribution service at an electronic mail sender side inspects contents data included in electronic mail sent/received between user terminals, a data replacement section 104 converts the contents data into other information to identify contents, and the transmitter 100 transmits the electronic mail. Further, a data replacement section 205 in a receiver side device 200 performing an electronic mail receiver side mail distribution service converts information to identify contents included in the electronic mail into contents data by using the information of the electronic mail recipient and information with respect to the copyright of the received contents or the like and the receiver side device 200 transmits the resulting contents data to a terminal of the recipient.
