PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit generating a pair of positive and negative high voltage direct currents with good balance, and to provide an X-ray generating device equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The high voltage generating circuit comprises a transformer (220) outputting an alternating current voltage obtained by boosting an alternating current voltage inputted to a primary winding from a single secondary winding of which, one end is connected to ground, a pair of rectified direct current high voltage generating circuits (222, 222') generating a positive and a negative direct current high voltage depending on the alternating current voltage applied to the other end of the secondary winding, respectively, and the X-ray tube (14) having an anode and a cathode to which, the positive direct current high voltage and the negative direct current high voltage are supplied.
