PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer method capable of efficiently making dot sequential to area sequential conversion in the case that image data of the dot sequential system are converted into image data of the area sequentially system via a main memory and the converted data are transferred. SOLUTION: A buffer circuit 11 converts the image data of the dot sequential form outputted from an image processing circuit 107 into a cluster of the same color components in a prescribed bit length. After that, a DMA controller 119 applies DMA transfer to the cluster outputted from the buffer circuit 11 to the main memory 109, in which the cluster is alternately stored in buffer areas 13A, 13B. Then area sequential data are read from the buffer areas 13A, 13B and transferred by means of direct memory access (DMA) to a display signal processing section 112. A timing controller 114a converts the frame rate of the transferred area sequential data and outputs the converted data to an EVF 117. Thus, the overhead to write the data to the main memory 109 can be reduced and the efficiency of a data bus can be enhanced. |
