PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of having more functions with a smaller number of keys (or the number of key LEDs) compared with a conventional portable terminal, resulting in suppressing electric current consumption required for input operation. SOLUTION: This portable terminal is provided with an inclination detecting part 5a for detecting the inclination of the portable terminal 10; a display part 6; an input part 34 with a plurality of keys; and a control part 3 for generating a code C on the basis of the inclination of the portable terminal 10 detected by the inclination detecting part 5, and an operated key out of a plurality of keys and displaying a pattern corresponding to the generated code, on the display part 6.
