PURPOSE: To provide a plasma display panel capable of stabilizing discharge characteristics and enhancing luminous efficiency in each discharge cell, and also capable of reducing a cost by simplifying the structure of a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: This plasma display panel is provided with a selective row electrode Z formed at a position between a pair of row electrodes (X, Y) adjacent each other in a column direction, and a discharge cell is divided into a display discharge cell C1 facing the transparent electrodes Xa, Ya of row electrodes X, Y forming a pair to carry out maintenance discharge and a reset and address discharge cell C2 facing the selective row electrode Z to carry out reset discharge and address discharge between the selective row electrode Z and a column electrode D, by the second lateral wall 15B of a barrier 15 to divide its surrounding. A gap communicating between the display cell C1 and the reset and address discharge cell C2 is provided. |
