摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active material for an electrode of a lithium ion battery having an excellent charge-discharge characteristics at a low cost by a relatively simple method. SOLUTION: This active material is manufactured through a polimerization process (#1) for polymerizing trifunctional monoalkylsilane to obtain monoalkyl polysiloxane, a kneading and mixing process (#2) for adding an organic compound to the monoalkyl polysiloxane and for kneading and mixing both of them to obtain a kneaded substance, and a heating process (#3) for heat-treating the kneaded substance in an inert atmosphere. The organic compound added in the kneading and mixing process (#2) is a fatty acid oil which has a characteristic of being in liquid state at ordinary temperature and is solidified or increases viscosity by heating.
